February 2024

Welcome to the February 2024 release of Latner Software. There are many updates in this version that we hope you'll like, some of the key highlights include:

Summary of changes:

 

  • Prompting users to create a Transport Docket

  • Splitting out work order revenue & expenses into Xero or MYOB Account Right codes

  • Stopping users to enter in an actual off hire date prior to the start date

  • In built dashboards covering equipment utilisation & revenue

  • Displaying all the supplier invoices linked to a purchase order

  • Scanning a QR Code when allocating equipment in mobile transport

  • Converting equipment lines to sub hire lines and vice versa

  • Uploading documents to transport dockets that is visable for the driver to view and download

  • Allowing users to put a customer on credit hold

  • Allow users to import service schedules, along with the next service due for equipment

  • Allowing users to select multiple payment terms as a filter in cycle billing

  • Allowing users to create checklist templates and assigning them to equipment classes, models & service schedules

  • Displaying the outstanding balance and amount oweing on customer invoices

Details of changes:

Prompting users to create a Transport Docket

When a user adds details to a rental contract, they will be prompted with a message if they want to create a delivery docket or customer collection

Splitting out work order revenue & expenses into Xero or MYOB Account Right codes

Work Orders costs and revenue for parts & timesheets can be split out into separate account codes when syncing with Xero or MYOB Account Right

Stopping users to enter in an actual off hire date prior to the start date

Users will not longer be able to enter in a actual off hire date that is prior to the start date

In built dashboards covering equipment utilisation & revenue

Utilisation & revenue dashboards are not visable on the home screen, and controlled by permission. The dashboards are dynamic and will display different data based on the filter the user selects.

Displaying all the supplier invoices linked to a purchase order

In the purchase order screen a tab has been added that will display all the supplier invoices linked to the purchase order.

Scanning a QR Code when allocating equipment in mobile transport

In addition to enter in an equipment number users can also scan a QR Code to assign an equipment to a delivery docket.

Converting equipment lines to sub hire lines and vice versa

In rental quotes and rental contracts users can convert an equipment line to a sub hire line and vice versa. For rental contracts this can only be done for equipment in a reserved status.

Uploading documents to transport dockets that is visable for the driver to view and download

Users can upload documents to a transport docket, which will appear in mobile transport for the driver to view.

Allowing users to put a customer on credit hold

Users can now put a customers on Credit Hold. This will update the Credit Status to Credit Hold.

  • When a customer is on credit hold

    • A pop up will appear when selecting the customer in quote & contract, 

    • Users can still create a Rental Quote, but cannot convert a quote to a contract

    • Users will not be able to create a Rental Contract

    • For existing Rental Contracts that are reserved, users will not be able to create Transport Dockets

Allow users to import service schedules, along with the next service due for equipment

Service schedules can be exported and imported against equipment classes, models and equipment numbers. These schedules can included hours recurring and days recurring, and the next due service that is due for each of the equipment numbers.

Allowing users to select multiple payment terms as a filter in cycle billing

When running cycle billing users can choose to filter out certain payment types such as C.O.D customers.

Allowing users to create checklist templates and assigning them to equipment classes, models & service schedules

Checklist templates can be created for pre hire inspections, post hire inspections and service schedules. These checklists can be assigned to equipment classes and models, and specific service schedules.

Displaying the outstanding balance and amount oweing on customer invoices

The outstanding balance and amount oweing values can now be added to customer invoices. The values are updated when a payment is recorded against a customer invoice.
