How to Create an Equipment Swap

The Equipment Swap function is intended to be used when Equipment that has gone on hire to a customer has to be replaced with another piece of Equipment because of a breakdown, service, etc. The Swap Date selected will be used as the Off Hire Date for the existing Equipment and the Start Date for the replacement Equipment.

If you are trying to change the Equipment number on the contract due to administrative error, then the "Change Equipment On Hire" function may be a better option.
