How to edit or delete the detail lines of a rental quote

When a rental quote is created and detail lines are added, the user might want to edit or delete the detail lines. A user can select one line at a time, and a pencil and rubbish bin will appear in the top right of the detail section. Details can only edited when the header has the status of Open. If a quote has the status of Quoted and the user wants to change the details, they should create a new revision of the rental quote. Learn how to revise a quote in How to revise a rental quote.

Editing Details

When a detail line is selected and the edit pencil in clicked, the user will have the ability to change some of the information and this will update the detail line. For equipment line types, the user can edit the detail line and select the equipment model or equipment number.

Deleting Details

When a detail line is selected and the rubbish bin in clicked, the user will have the ability to delete the detail line. When clicked a warning will appear asking the user if they are sure they want to delete this detail line. If a header line that has other linked to it is deleted, then the linked lines will unlink and create a new line number.
