Configuring Assets

When preparing to set up your assets, it’s helpful to configure your asset & depreciation configurations in advance. Establishing these defaults ensures that new assets inherit the correct rules from the start, reduces manual adjustments, and keeps your asset records aligned with how your business operates.

Asset Group Configuration

Asset Groups can be setup to help categorise Assets into different groups. The group can be assigned to an Asset on the Asset Details page.

Depreciation Types Configuration

Depreciation Types allow you to assign a shared depreciation method and rate to multiple assets. These types can then be configured at three levels for default values: Global Settings → Equipment Class → Asset Level.
